Chinua: On web client implementing Paul's suggestions, e.g. seems to be a problem when components that render properly alone do not render properly when in a PrimeFaces tree. Also researching some open source Kerberos tools for client side authentication.
David: Tying Hibernate and JIBX for Specify Agent, Publication, and Geography objects to support XML serialization of Specify record sets. (Maureen: David's work is her vision of how to do serialization. It instruments byte code. Bob asks if it is a JAXB implementation and if not, how it relates to JAXB.)
Maureen: No FP work this week
James: Adminstrative work for end of grant; TDWG Annotation workshop submitted.
Paul: Proposal for TDWG Annotation IG addressed some minor comments of review. TDWG is configuring social and technical support for the IG. Learning Jena. Reviewing TDWG GUID applicability document.
Bob: Worked with Zhmin for FP manuscript for the VLDB conference.
Discussion: Who needs to deal with Kerberos (or other) security credentials?
From last week: use case for different requirements for producing concensus record in FindDuplicate,
- different users possibly of different clients have different requirements for dealing with identified inconsistencies between returned data. Scenario: A user wishes to dynamically select between a consensus built by "last in wins" and one built by voting.
- (Maureen): Filter first and then form consensus or form consensus policy and then filter.
begin spec for radically different use case
begin formulating story with Kepler. Maybe phone call? These include:
- FP client within Kepler
- Instance of an FP network to distribute annotations of Kepler annotations on workflows
- Embed a Kepler-based FP analysis engine. Need a use case for which that would be useful. E.g. Find out of range data.
