FilteredPush Project Team Meeting 2011 July 12

Present: Bertram, Tim, Maureen, Paul, Zhimin,Lei

Agenda:

  • Project Programmer Position
  • TDWG
  • Progress on Network Implementation

Notes:

  • Project Programmer Position

Job advertisment revised, posted internally, will be publically available in 10 working days.

  • TDWG

James: Nothing back from TDWG powers that be.

Paul: Also contacted Annotations Interest Group Core members.

  • Progress on Network Implementation

Zhimin: Know the route to generate code and to cooperate with BOUML. Have generated code, then checked for compile errors, gone back and fixed them in model. BOUML not a good tool for complex code generation, doesn't support includes, and produces code with absolute path references.

Paul: Bottom line, we can't support round trip. Once generated, the code should be the authoritative document?

Zhimin: Implementation tricky, should just use BOUML to document interfaces. Suggestion: maintain a separate project for the API from the implementation Should be able to use BOUML to support round trip for interfaces. Definitely not for implementation.

Paul: Tim here, able to work on mapper?

Tim: Available, OK for rest of this week.

Bertram: Tim also interested in getting some data loaded? Part of same effort?

Tim: Yes, part of same effort.
