Non-Tech

  • Meeting With AnnoSys
    • Late March

Dates: 16th to 18th. James to follow up with Anton to make sure that logistics won't be a problem.

  • Kurator roll-over:
    • IDCC

Bertram: Gave IDCC presentation on YesWorkflow ⇒ next: use of YW in Kurator!? (would go well together with Kurator/P)

    • bibliography management (de-duplication, merging, etc) actors

Bertram: Integration with reference management would be good.

    • opportunity to create an NDS labs project

Bertram: initiative at NCSA to create an environment (as part of the mission) to facilitate groups of tool builders to use some of the resources - might be an opportunity here to run workflows in the environment.

    • iDigBio webinar

Tim: Not clear that we have an hour's content.

Paul: What we are planning on for SPNHC demo should be good for that (in part explaining output).

Jim: How about after SPNHC.

Tim: Documentation on what is needed to run the workflow - then presentation based on that documentation, downloadable tool plus documentation - webinar walk through the documentation, demo at SPNHC just show it off.

Paul: Will email Deb summarizing that plan.

  • Publications
    • Paul/James: Collection Objects

James: Got further in, have about 1 more day of work before circulating again. Not sure how much to put in in the way of graphics.

    • Paul/Bob/David: QC Reports

Paul: No progress yet.

    • Bob: Refactoring Dup finding cluster analysis
      • Bob: Access to larger scale infrastructure

Bob: Brazilans have stuff in hand, haven't heard back yet. Material went to Illinois via Bertram.

Bertram: Folks are traveling.

    • Bob: List of additional topics

Bob: Have been working on dwcFP and a taxonomic treatment ontology with Terry C. Still some syntax issues that need to be corrected in dwcFP.

Bob: Problems on UMB infrastructure serving up ontology and related artifacts.

For Tech Call

Tim: Useful to go through the workflows being used to generate the SCAN QC spreadsheets, and make sure that we understand exactly what classes are being used.
