I am Assistant Director for Informatics at the University of Kansas and direct the Specify Software and Lifemapper Projects. I have been developing and managing biodiversity software and biocollections community support projects for 10 years at KU. Before that I held museum IT support positions at Harvard University and at UC Berkeley. I also served a stint as a temporary employee of the US National Science Foundation as Program Manager for Biological Databases. The rest is ancient history. Lawrence Kansas is a great college town for highly talented programmers to say good bye to big city distractions and to get serious about changing the world.
