Meetings planned every other week through the spring.
User wants to work on something. User wants to keep working without waiting. Network get me some stuff that I might be going to work on. How do I keep from being idle without waiting for network. [big dig - example of DiGIR node reliability] (also [|List of schemas in use in DiGIR]

Short term goals
- UMB to install Specify Workbench (from source)
Question: Does specify workbench connect to a remote datasource over the network? Question: How does specify workbench manage/store data in the currently active worksheet? Question: Does workbench yet have color highlighting of errors?
- Development of use cases in context of workbench.
Question: what is the role of images and virtual annotations in the system? Needs looking into later this spring.
- HUH to develop examples with specimens over next two weeks.
**Clear examples of annotations **Examples of duplicates with complexity **Examples of duplicates with uncertainty
- Next meeting - in a workflow in workbench say at this point we would like the network to do this.
- Investigate mining DiGIR feeds for lists of collectors by institution as a source of potential places to look for duplicates.
Long term milestones for this year
In no particular order yet.
End user use cases
Develop test queries. Examples of duplicates for discovery.
Network use cases
Databases are "Read mostly" Don't need to work under complete knowlege. Large set of questions are asynchronous with user's immediate work. Subset of questions need rapid response for user.
Determination of extensions needed for specify/specify workbench
Develop annotation schema [network transport schema]
Develop mapping of annotation schema to sql in manner that can be done easily by a node administrator.
Ability to make query on db. Ability to make a single update.
Two users at different locations demonstrate key interactions:
make annotations, get notification of annotation, say yes/no to push.
Things to push to later
Discovery/manangement of network nodes. OPEN is doing discovery of resources in the context of questions (and cacheing/history of queries).Security of transport (ssl, signatures). See:
